Registered Nurse - Acute Care Orthopedic Surgical - Full-Time Night Shift

About the role

The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide acute care in an orthopedic surgical unit during the night shift. The RN will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized, safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) and evidence‑based practice.
• Deliver relationship‑based, patient‑centered care to diverse populations, communicating with patients and families through bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Coordinate and document care in a respectful, inclusive environment, supporting performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote professional development and a healthy work environment.
• Support evidence‑based practice by collecting data, addressing clinical questions, and developing protocols to improve outcomes and reduce readmissions.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of direct patient‑care nursing experience.
• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, with proficiency in technology and basic computer use.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking, decisiveness, and respectfulness.
• Commitment to professional competency, regulatory compliance, and active participation in quality‑improvement activities.
