Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift – Oncology (Acute Care)

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse joins an interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, safe patient care in an acute oncology setting. The role emphasizes evidence‑based practice, patient‑centered communication, and continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence‑based methods.
• Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care tailored to diverse cultural needs.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision‑making.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care while fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with team members, participate in performance‑improvement initiatives, and support shared governance.
• Maintain professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote evidence‑based research.
• Ensure adherence to policies, legal, and accreditation standards while optimizing resource utilization.
• Contribute to protocol development and participate in quality and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; valid RN license required.
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience, preferably in direct patient care.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrate critical thinking, and respond decisively to emergencies.

Required skills

• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with healthcare technology and clinical documentation systems.
