RN Charge Nurse – MedSurg (Full-Time Nights)

About the role

The role is for a Registered Nurse who will provide high-quality patient care within a supportive, patient‑centered environment. The charge nurse will lead the MedSurg unit during night shifts, overseeing patient safety, documentation, and team coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the care team.
• Monitor patient conditions, ensure safety, and document assessments and interventions.
• Serve as a patient advocate, address concerns, and educate patients and families.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support organizational standards.
• Foster professional growth through ongoing education, mentorship, and adherence to best practices.
• Support shared governance and contribute to a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS); multi‑state licensure preferred.
• Experience in nursing with strong skills in patient assessment, communication, and teamwork.
• Commitment to professional development and quality improvement.
