RN Acute Care Orthopedic Surgical – Part‑Time Night Shift

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an acute‑care orthopedic surgical setting. This part‑time night‑shift position follows evidence‑based standards, the Professional Practice Model, and the Code of Ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence‑based practices.
• Provide relationship‑based, culturally sensitive care tailored to diverse patient populations.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision‑making.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Support performance‑improvement initiatives, participate in research, and uphold organizational policies and safety standards.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote professional development and sustain a qualified workforce.
• Engage in evidence‑based practice, data collection, and protocol development to optimize patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Valid RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 5 years RN experience, preferably with direct patient care in an acute‑care setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Proficiency with technology, effective time management, and ability to respond in fast‑paced environments.
