RN Charge Nurse - MedSurg - Full Time Days

About the role

The Registered Nurse provides high‑quality nursing care within a collaborative team, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. As a charge nurse on a medical‑surgical unit, you act as the primary communication link between patients, families, providers, and staff, ensuring patient‑centered care and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions, contributing to care plans and promoting positive outcomes.
• Deliver safe, effective care in line with policies while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, educating families, and ensuring clear communication.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives, offering ideas for process enhancements and quality outcomes.
• Mentor and support fellow nurses, fostering a positive work environment and upholding professional standards.
• Comply with organizational policies, safety protocols, and ethical practices.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Valid RN license; multi‑state licensure preferred.
• Current BLS certification (standard or instructor).
• At least two years of medical‑surgical nursing experience; leadership experience highly preferred.
