About the role

The RN Charge Nurse provides high-quality nursing care on a MedSurg unit during night shifts. Acting as a central communicator, the charge nurse coordinates care among patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team while ensuring safety and compliance with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, assist with care planning, and deliver safe, effective care in accordance with policies and procedures.
Maintain thorough documentation, advocate for patient needs, and contribute to patient satisfaction.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support organizational goals, including shared governance and quality projects.

Required profile

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) with current RN licensure (multi-state or single-state) and BLS certification.
Demonstrated clinical competency, strong communication, and collaborative skills, with a commitment to professional development and mentorship of fellow nurses.
