Registered Nurse – Acute Care Orthopedic Surgery (Full‑time Day Shift)

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse provides high‑quality, safe, and personalized patient care within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on orthopaedic surgical patients during the day shift. This role emphasizes evidence‑based practice, patient‑centered communication, and continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence‑based practices.
• Deliver relationship‑based, patient‑centered care, educating patients and families and ensuring effective communication.
• Document care accurately and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain safe, quality outcomes.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Support resource management, develop protocols, and help reduce readmissions and adverse events.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to develop a competent nursing workforce.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN licensure (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.
