Part-Time Acute Care/Med-Surg Nurse

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, providing high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care in a clinical setting supported by evidence‑based practice and organizational models. The position focuses on acute care and medical‑surgical patients in a part‑time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Deliver relationship‑based, patient‑centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Partner with patients and families using effective communication methods such as bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through documentation, teamwork, and adherence to clinical standards.
• Support professional development by completing competency assessments, mentoring colleagues, and promoting research and performance improvement.
• Participate in protocol development, resource management, and compliance with policies and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active RN license with BLS certification.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively and respectfully.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation technology.
