About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Housekeeper 2 to support the East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta. Working under general supervision, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and straighten assigned patient care and public areas.
- Collect, sort, launder, transport, and distribute linens and uniforms.
- Dispose of contaminated waste following safety protocols.
- Maintain and stock housekeeping equipment and supplies.
- Ensure laundry, floor and cleaning equipment are in good working condition.
- Perform minor linen repairs and assist with preventative maintenance.
Required profile
- At least one year of experience in a related housekeeping role or as a Housekeeper 1.
- Ability to lift or move 10‑20 lb regularly.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
