CT Technologist

About the role

The CT Technologist delivers safe, high‑quality computed tomography imaging while ensuring a supportive patient experience. Working as part of a collaborative care team, the technologist follows department guidelines and operates independently on night‑shift schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations accurately, capturing diagnostic images and minimizing radiation exposure.
• Operate CT imaging equipment independently, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning.
• Administer contrast media, apply shielding and immobilization, and monitor patients throughout the procedure.
• Review images for quality, repeat scans when necessary, and document findings in RIS/PACS systems.
• Maintain equipment and workspaces according to infection‑control protocols and report issues promptly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
• Current ARRT‑R, ARRT‑CT, and BLS certifications.

Required skills

• Operation of CT imaging equipment.
• Administration of contrast media and patient shielding.
• Image quality review and documentation using RIS/PACS.
