RN - Acute Care - Neuro - PRN Night Shift

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse provides acute neuro‑care on a PRN night‑shift basis, working within an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient‑centered care. The role follows evidence‑based standards, organizational policies and licensing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and individualized care.
• Partner with patients and families through bedside reports, teaching, and culturally sensitive communication.
• Coordinate safe, quality care delivery and accurate documentation, fostering teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support performance‑improvement initiatives, research and evidence‑based practice to enhance outcomes.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, contribute to protocol development and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and participate in data collection and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license (single or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification.
• Experience in direct patient care (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and customer‑service skills; ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments.
• Effective time‑management, critical‑thinking and proficiency in clinical technology and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and commitment to professional growth and patient safety.
