Crew Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Crew Manager to oversee the full recruitment and manning process for our vessels. The role involves sourcing qualified seafarers, coordinating crew changes, and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end crew recruitment and manning for assigned vessels.
• Source, evaluate and select seafarers according to client specifications.
• Plan and coordinate crew changes, vessel rotations and travel arrangements.
• Verify certificates, licenses, medicals, visas and other documentation.
• Maintain accurate crew records in the crewing database.
• Communicate with shipowners, managers, masters, agents and seafarers on crew matters.
• Prepare employment contracts, joining instructions and ensure compliance with MLC 2006, STCW and flag‑state requirements.
• Supervise Crew Operators and monitor crew planning schedules.
• Produce operational reports and resolve operational issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Crew Manager or in a similar crewing role.
• Strong knowledge of MLC 2006, STCW and international maritime regulations.
• Fluent English (B2 level) – written and spoken.
• High level of responsibility, attention to detail and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with crewing management software.
