Application Engineer II

About the role

The Application Engineer II will develop deep expertise in power systems and SEL products, supporting customers through demonstrations, training, and technical assistance. This role combines technical problem‑solving with customer interaction and knowledge sharing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop expertise in power systems and related SEL products, providing solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Assist customers on‑site and remotely via visits, demonstrations, training courses, and telephone support.
• Contribute to product specifications, application software, literature, and publish application guides and technical papers.
• Present at SEL marketing and sales events, industry meetings, and conferences.
• Teach SEL University courses and mentor engineers, associates, and interns.
• Provide feedback through customer‑feedback processes, FAQs, and improve training materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 6+ years of experience in power systems and related industry practices.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong technical training, presentation, and customer service abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and build trust with customers and colleagues.
