Equipment Maintenance Manager

About the role

As an Equipment Maintenance Manager you will ensure the operational viability and reliability of port equipment and machinery at APM Terminals Poti. Reporting to the Asset Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance activities, technical supervision and team development to support terminal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and develop the port equipment maintenance team to deliver safe and reliable operations.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems across all terminal equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs through the IFS CMMS system to maximise equipment reliability.
• Coordinate repair activities with operational requirements while maintaining high quality and efficiency standards.
• Monitor contractor performance and support procurement of spare parts.

Required profile

• Higher technical education in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5‑7 years of experience in port crane or equipment maintenance, with proven ability to manage technical personnel.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to prioritize in demanding operational environments.
• Fluency in English (Georgian or Russian language skills are a plus).

Required skills

• Maintenance of complex electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with IFS Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to interpret manufacturer technical documentation and equipment manuals.
