Senior Backend Engineer, Agentic Development

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join Solveva’s client delivery team, building event‑driven insurance solutions for international customers. The role combines deep Java/Spring expertise with the emerging practice of guiding AI coding agents to produce high‑quality code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain complex Java/Spring applications using event‑driven architectures and micro‑service patterns.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts and developers in agile, cross‑functional teams throughout the full SDLC.
• Guide and review code generated by AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code), ensuring correctness, scalability and maintainability.
• Prepare repositories and documentation (CLAUDE.md, prompt templates) so AI agents can navigate and contribute effectively.
• Participate in technical discussions, drive continuous improvement and support knowledge sharing across the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong English proficiency (minimum B2).
• Proven experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, Kafka and building distributed, event‑driven systems.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding agents and creating agent‑ready codebases.
• Self‑driven, analytical, and able to work under tight deadlines.
