RN Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgical – Part-Time Night Shift

About the role

The RN Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgical role provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care on a part‑time night shift within an interdisciplinary team. You will apply evidence‑based nursing practices while respecting cultural diversity and supporting safe surgical recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication and personalized care plans.
• Coordinate safe and effective care delivery, ensure thorough documentation, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence‑based practice activities.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to develop a skilled healthcare workforce.
• Support resource management and protocol development to enhance care quality and efficiency.
• Comply with organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of five years RN experience, preferably in direct patient care.
• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact).
• Strong clinical, critical‑thinking, interpersonal, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent English communication skills.
