Project Manager – Democratic Governance

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Georgia is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate initiatives within the Democratic Governance Portfolio. The role focuses on strengthening protection, inclusion, and civic participation of vulnerable communities across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day implementation of projects supporting democratic governance, social cohesion and economic empowerment.
• Coordinate activities with the Democratic Governance Team Leader, partner NGOs, civil society organisations and government entities.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports and ensure compliance with UNDP policies and the Country Programme Document 2026‑2030.
• Facilitate dialogue, advocacy and capacity‑building workshops for youth, LGBTI, religious, ethnic and other disadvantaged groups.
• Oversee budgeting, procurement and resource allocation in line with UNDP financial guidelines.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree and proven experience in project management within development or governance contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups and navigate complex political environments.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
