Night Clinical Pathology Services Technician

About the role

The Night Clinical Pathology Services Technician leads laboratory operations during the night shift, ensuring accurate and timely testing while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role combines supervisory duties with hands‑on technical work to support a high‑quality pathology service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily laboratory activities and manage personnel schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GDCH, CAP, CLIA, OSHA, FDA, and TJC regulations.
• Provide training and orientation for new staff members.
• Evaluate and implement new laboratory instrumentation for efficiency.
• Perform routine technologist duties, including result validation and quality control.
• Handle administrative tasks such as payroll, inventory management, and scheduling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience.
• Current certification (MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP) or equivalent) at time of hire.
• Strong leadership and compliance orientation.

Required skills

• GDCH, CAP, CLIA, OSHA, FDA, TJC regulatory knowledge.
• Laboratory instrumentation evaluation.
• Laboratory testing and result validation.
