Middle/Senior Java Developer

About the role

Devexperts is looking for a Middle/Senior Java Developer to join its Research & Development team in Tbilisi. As a backend engineer you will be responsible for the complete order lifecycle in a high‑performance trading platform, ensuring low latency and fault‑tolerant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reliable, high‑performance distributed systems handling order capture, validation, routing, execution and reconciliation.
• Optimize code, write comprehensive unit and integration tests, and ensure thorough test coverage.
• Conduct detailed code reviews and collaborate with team members to continuously improve code quality.
• Analyze and resolve multi‑threading issues, heap and thread dump problems, and performance bottlenecks.
• Work closely with business analysts to translate complex financial requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Java 11+ features such as Collections, Streams, Threads and Concurrency.
• Experience with Spring framework, AspectJ and Kotlin.
• Proficiency in writing tests with JUnit5 and Mockito.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Prometheus and ELK stack.
• Familiarity with distributed system concepts, asynchronous communication and relational database internals.
• Ability to debug heap/thread dumps and profile applications using tools like YourKit, JProfiler or VisualVM.
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and English communication (B2+).
