About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking an Identity & Driver Credential Specialist (Level 1) to join its Newnan office. In this full‑time position you will help residents obtain learner’s permits, driver licenses, and state‑issued identity cards while delivering courteous, accurate service.

Key responsibilities

• Issue learner’s permits, driver licenses, and identity cards in compliance with state regulations.
• Assist customers with out‑of‑state license conversions and first‑time driver examinations.
• Handle high‑volume interactions, including irate customers, slip‑and‑fall incidents, and emergency situations.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records and ensure timely processing of all transactions.
• May serve as a team lead for lower‑level staff, providing guidance and support.
