Senior Java Developer – Backend Trading Systems

About the role

EXANTE is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join its backend team responsible for building and maintaining high‑performance trading ecosystems. The role focuses on designing micro‑service components that power multi‑asset, multi‑currency trading platforms for institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Java (version 17+) microservices within a cloud‑native environment.
• Maintain and extend internal Java libraries and frameworks used across the trading platform.
• Diagnose, optimise and ensure reliability of backend services, including performance tuning.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and cross‑functional teams to deliver features on schedule.
• Stay current with emerging Java technologies and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, concurrency models and the Java Memory Model.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Russian.
