Application Developer

About the role

The Application Developer will design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and micro‑services using Java and Spring Boot. The role involves building RESTful APIs, managing database schemas, writing tests and collaborating with product, UI/UX and DevOps teams to deliver robust server‑side solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based micro‑services with Spring Boot.
• Build and implement RESTful APIs to connect frontend components.
• Create and maintain database schemas, write efficient SQL queries and use ORM tools such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, TestNG) and debug issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical solutions and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related engineering field.
• 9–15 years of professional software development experience.

Required skills

• Java (8, 11, 17) and Spring Boot.
• Microservices architecture and event‑driven design.
• RESTful API development.
• Hibernate / JPA, SQL and database schema design.
• Git version control.
• Maven or Gradle build tools.
• JUnit and TestNG testing frameworks.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) – desirable.
• Frontend technologies (React, Angular, JavaScript) – desirable.
