Team Lead .NET Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Social Discovery Group is looking for a Team Lead .NET Engineer to drive the modernization of its monolithic platform into micro‑services. This fully remote position combines hands‑on coding with people‑management, ensuring high‑quality delivery while mentoring a growing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of the monolith‑to‑microservices migration, from legacy analysis to production release.
• Collaborate with Product and Architecture to review specifications, map dependencies and produce realistic estimates.
• Guide architectural decisions for .NET Core services, databases and frontend integrations, and act as the escalation point for complex backend, data‑migration and incident issues.
• Improve team processes: tighter Jira task tracking, accurate estimation, and close QA partnership to keep bugs low and production stable.
• Conduct regular 1‑on‑1s, drive feedback loops and support career development for team members.

Required profile

• Strong .NET engineering background with deep expertise in C#.NET 8 and ASP.NET Core.
• Proven experience modernising legacy systems, refactoring monorepos into micro‑services and containerising applications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, run performance reviews and manage delivery schedules.
• Experience reviewing business specifications, assessing technical feasibility and providing high‑level estimates.
