Groups and Events Executive

About the role

The Groups and Events Executive supports Marriott’s sales and marketing operations by keeping internal communications up‑to‑date, assisting colleagues with performance challenges, and ensuring guests receive a seamless experience. This full‑time position works on‑site at the hotel’s headquarters in Tbilisi and collaborates closely with sales, marketing and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Update the employee information board regularly with important events and announcements.
• Provide guidance to staff struggling with sales targets or job duties.
• Assign lead calls and emails to Sales Executives according to rotation schedules.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets for mailing lists, tours and other sales‑related data.
• Enter, retrieve, reconcile and verify information in sales‑process software.
• Contact relevant departments to resolve guest calls, requests or issues.
• Promote Marriott’s brand image both internally and externally.
• Apply sales techniques to maximise revenue, including up‑selling and encouraging package or tour purchases.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation and employee coaching.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Follow all company policies, maintain a professional appearance and protect company assets.
• Anticipate guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities and provide courteous telephone service.
• Maintain positive working relationships and uphold quality standards.
• Perform light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 lb.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience in sales, marketing or hospitality.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
