About the role
ZeptoLab seeks a Technical Director to lead the technical evolution of Bullet Echo, shaping architecture and driving AI‑first development for a live multiplayer game.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the technical vision for client, battle server, and backend architecture.
- Evolve engineering practices, manage technical debt, and mitigate architectural risks.
- Guide technical roadmap, capacity planning, and LiveOps processes.
- Introduce AI‑assisted development and testing across the team.
Required profile
- 5+ years in senior technical leadership (Technical Director, CTO, Lead Engineer) on live game products.
- Proven people‑management experience building effective engineering teams.
- Strong track record improving engineering processes in legacy codebases.
Required skills
- C++ development with large production codebases.
- Real‑time multiplayer architecture, networking, and synchronization.
- High‑load backend and distributed systems design.
- CI/CD, LiveOps, testing, monitoring, and incident management.
- AI‑assisted software development and workflow integration.
