Staff Accountant – Remote (NY Time Zone)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to maintain accurate monthly books for our U.S. healthcare clients. Working remotely from the Republic of Georgia and aligned with the New York time zone, you will ensure financial operations run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of facility financial activity, post and review monthly revenue, and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts.
• Complete month‑end close procedures, run quality checklists, review P&L statements, and collaborate with finance operations teams.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues, inform management of potential delays, and prepare timely reports for clients.
• Assist senior staff in developing annual revenue, expense, and staffing budgets, and verify final budgets with management.
• Support audit processes, train new employees, suggest workflow improvements, compile data for external audits and tax filings, and review bank statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or current enrollment in an accounting program.
• Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and quick learning of new systems and policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
