Staff Accountant

About the role

As a Staff Accountant you will maintain accurate monthly books for our clients, ensuring financial operations run smoothly and securely. This remote position is aligned with the New York time zone and supports top U.S. healthcare companies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of facility financial activity, post and review monthly revenue, and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts.
• Complete month‑end closures, run quality checklists, review monthly P&L statements and collaborate with finance operations teams.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues, inform management of timeline barriers, and prepare timely reports for management and clients.
• Assist senior staff in developing annual revenue, expense, and staffing budgets and review final budgets with management.
• Support audit processes, train new employees, recommend workflow improvements, compile data for external audits and tax filings, and review bank statements.

Required profile

• BS in Accounting or current enrollment in an Accounting program.
• Understanding of accounting processes and compliance with GAAP.
• Basic accounting knowledge with a willingness to expand expertise.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
