Senior Manager, Payment Integrity

About the role

Centene is seeking a Senior Manager to lead payment integrity initiatives that protect the health of its 28 million members. In this role you will oversee cost recovery and cost avoidance programs across multiple health plans, working with internal teams and external vendors to meet recovery and savings targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee internal and external cost‑recovery and cost‑containment initiatives, tracking performance against project metrics and forecasted goals.
• Manage vendor relationships, developing annual budgets and projected savings for each national vendor.
• Partner with health plans to identify cost‑containment opportunities and collaborate with national vendors on recovery categories.
• Evaluate and streamline existing processes, implementing new procedures to reduce costs.
• Present trends, cost‑containment opportunities, and action plans to senior management.
• Assist health plans in understanding rules, regulations, and processes around cost recovery.
• Monitor other departments’ performance for cost‑recovery potential and compile reporting packages for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in data analysis, finance or accounting.
• Experience with government program auditing and compliance monitoring preferred.
• Project‑management experience preferred.
