Senior Claims Manager, Cyber

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Claims Manager to lead our cyber, media and technology errors & omissions claims team. The role oversees both reinsurance and open market claims, ensuring accurate handling, investigation and resolution while delivering exceptional service to insureds and brokers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of claims professionals handling cyber, media and technology E&O claims.
• Coordinate workflow, set team and individual goals, and empower staff through coaching and training.
• Conduct in‑depth coverage analysis, interpret policy wording, and evaluate liability to determine claim validity.
• Oversee formulation and issuance of coverage position letters, negotiation and resolution of claims within delegated authority.
• Perform quality reviews to meet internal and external audit requirements.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including insureds, brokers/agents and carrier clients, providing exceptional customer service.
• Investigate complex claims, review legal pleadings and statutes, and prepare detailed legal correspondence.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing claims teams, preferably in cyber, media or technology liability lines.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance and open market claim processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex liability issues.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop staff.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of cyber liability, media liability and technology errors & omissions insurance.
• Experience reviewing legal pleadings, statutes and coverage position letters.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and evaluate claim validity.
