Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Django)

About the role

DIGIPAL is a software delivery agency that builds high‑performing product design and development teams for clients across Europe and North America. The role is fully remote and offers a top‑tier compensation package while working on large‑scale, multi‑tenant digital products for international customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services using Python, Django and Django REST Framework.
• Develop and operate scalable REST APIs, integrations and asynchronous processing workflows.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis and Amazon S3 as core platform components.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot containerised applications on Kubernetes and AWS EKS.
• Own deployments, contribute to GitOps workflows and automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in architectural decisions around scalability, resilience, performance and security.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience as a Backend Engineer or Software Engineer.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and hands‑on experience with Django/Django REST Framework.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, Redis and building REST APIs.
• Production‑grade experience with Kubernetes, AWS EKS and containerised deployments.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical initiatives and communicate effectively in English.
