RN Charge Nurse - PRN Nights

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse works night shifts on a PRN (as‑needed) basis, providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care within a multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs while serving as a key communication link among patients, families, providers, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions, documenting assessments and interventions.
• Assist in developing and updating care plans to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Deliver nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, providing education, and communicating with families and the healthcare team.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives and support quality‑and‑safety goals.
• Maintain professional licensure, pursue continuing education, and stay current with best practices.
• Mentor junior staff, uphold confidentiality, and foster a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license; multi‑state license preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork abilities.
