RN Charge Nurse - MedSurg - Full Time Nights

About the role

The Registered Nurse Charge Nurse provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care on a MedSurg unit during night shifts. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team, the RN ensures safe, effective care while mentoring staff and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions; assist with care planning and deliver safe, effective care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and incidents accurately; communicate patient information to relevant parties.
• Advocate for patients, address concerns, and educate patients and families on health issues.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for process enhancements.
• Maintain professional licensure, certifications, and pursue ongoing professional growth.
• Mentor colleagues, promote a positive work environment, and uphold professional standards and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Active RN licensure with required certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Multistate or single‑state RN license, with all certifications current at hire.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration abilities.
• Commitment to professional development and quality improvement.
