RN Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgical – Part-Time Night Shift

About the role

The Registered Nurse provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an acute care setting, specializing in orthopedic surgery. This part‑time night‑shift position works within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence‑based care for surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process – assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation – to deliver personalized care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and respecting cultural diversity.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care while fostering teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Participate in performance‑improvement, research, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support professional development and a healthy work environment.
• Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years RN experience; direct patient care experience preferred.
• Current RN license (single state or multi‑state Compact) and BLS certification.
• Associate or diploma in nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, critical‑thinking, and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with clinical documentation technology and electronic health record systems.
