Registered Nurse, Primary Care

About the role

The Primary Care Clinical Nurse provides direct nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents from birth to age 21. Working closely with pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and families, you will support preventative care, manage illnesses, and promote healthy growth.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and developmental screenings.
• Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Conduct triage via in‑person, telephone, or messaging channels and respond to patient and family concerns.
• Document care accurately using electronic health record tools and clinical decision support resources.
• Provide age‑appropriate education to patients and families.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, third‑party payers, pharmacies, and community resources.
• Apply culturally sensitive communication, integrating language preferences and values into care delivery.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or a multi‑state license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• At least 12 months of RN experience, preferably in pediatric or primary‑care settings.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
