Registered Nurse – Acute Care Orthopedic Surgery (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our acute care orthopedic surgery unit on a full‑time night shift. The role involves delivering safe, patient‑centered care within a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, individualized nursing care to orthopedic surgical patients during night hours.
• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence‑based practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team, offering education and culturally sensitive support.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, policies, and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and protocol development.
• Mentor and precept fellow nurses and healthcare staff.
• Engage in professional development, research, and evidence‑based practice activities.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Less than one year of clinical experience or recent completion of an accredited nursing program.
