Registered Nurse - Acute Care Ortho Surgical - Full-Time Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Orthopedic Surgical unit on the night shift. The RN will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and compassionate support for patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence‑based practices.
• Provide individualized, relationship‑based care that respects cultural diversity.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote a skilled nursing workforce.
• Support resource management, protocol development, and quality outcomes such as reducing readmissions.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification at hire.
• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, critical‑thinking, time‑management, and computer skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies professionally.
• Commitment to professional development, ethical standards, and quality‑safety initiatives.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
