Quality Control Parts Engineering Specialist – Chassis/EV

About the role

The Quality Control Parts Engineering Specialist will lead quality inspection and improvement activities for supplier‑provided chassis and electric power components at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America’s EV production plant. The role ensures parts meet international standards and supports new vehicle projects.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operation plans to guarantee part quality, including field claim analysis, supplier management and part inspection.
• Analyse root causes of part issues, drive improvement actions and organise quality meetings.
• Manage quality facilities and equipment, oversee investment costs and implement supplementary investments.
• Coordinate external events and provide technical consultation.
• Participate in new‑vehicle projects: prepare inspections, develop quality‑securing plans and respond to evaluations.
• Monitor vehicle faults, ensure procedures and computerized systems comply with standards and legal requirements.
• Plan, control and monitor corrective actions from audit findings.
• Prepare reports, publish timelines, support certification processes and generate troubleshooting documentation.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum two years of experience in automotive supplied‑parts quality.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications of power electric and chassis systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem‑solving ability.
• In‑depth understanding of quality management systems.
