Manager, Bookkeeping, Payroll and Tax Compliance

About the role

PwC is hiring a Manager for its Bookkeeping, Payroll and Tax Compliance unit in Tbilisi, within the Tax Reporting and Strategy practice's Innovation services. The role helps clients redesign tax reporting, add automation and analytics, and strengthen internal controls so tax becomes a strategic asset. The manager leads payroll, accounting and tax compliance processes for several companies and works in a team solving complex business issues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead payroll, accounting and tax compliance processes for various companies
• Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build meaningful recommendations
• Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decisions
• Coach others, recognise their strengths and encourage ownership of their development
• Address work that does not meet firm or client expectations
• Develop a point of view on key global trends and their impact on clients
• Manage different viewpoints to build consensus and simplify complex messages

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferably in finance, accounting or economics
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting, financial or tax audit or related fields
• Fluent Georgian and strong advanced English
• Interest in a career in taxation and accounting
• Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
• Confident use of MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical, communication and attention to detail
