Training & Development Manager

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Training & Development Manager to lead workforce competency building within its manufacturing operations. You will design and deliver training programs that ensure a qualified, skilled, and continuously developing production workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse training and competency needs across manufacturing departments in partnership with production managers.
• Develop and implement annual training and development plans for production personnel.
• Organise onboarding, technical, safety, quality, leadership and skills‑development programmes.
• Build and maintain competency matrices and participate in competency assessments and certifications.
• Identify competency gaps and create targeted development plans.
• Monitor employee qualifications, mandatory certifications, licences, permits and training compliance.
• Coordinate internal trainers and external providers, and manage vocational training programmes.
• Establish partnerships with vocational schools, technical colleges, universities and government employment agencies.
• Measure training effectiveness using KPIs and business performance indicators.
• Maintain training records, qualification databases, competency matrices and statutory documentation.
• Support digital learning and e‑learning solutions.
• Recruit skilled production personnel, technicians, engineers and blue‑collar staff, managing the full hiring cycle.
• Develop talent pipelines for critical manufacturing positions.

Required profile

• Higher education, preferably technical or management.
• At least 2 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Recruitment or HR within manufacturing, industrial or heavy‑industry environments.
• Proven experience organising technical and mandatory training for blue‑collar employees, technicians and engineers.
• Fluent Georgian (mandatory), Russian required, English intermediate or higher preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
