Senior Email Retention Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are a fast‑growing Shopify retention agency looking for a senior professional to own strategy and outcomes for our highest‑value, most complex accounts. You will lead a pod, mentor junior managers and drive data‑driven retention programs for brands generating over $5 M in annual revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage 5‑6 Shopify brands with >$5M annual revenue, including our most complex accounts.
• Own the retention roadmap: plan calendars, set timing and revenue targets, interpret data to define next steps.
• Develop advanced retention strategies and review campaigns before they reach the client.
• Collaborate with a junior Retention Manager handling copy and project management, allowing you to focus on strategy and relationships.
• Mentor RM1s and RM2s in your pod, coaching client‑facing skills, strategic thinking and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Lead client onboarding for new brands, setting tone and expectations from day one.
• Stay at the cutting edge of retention marketing and share insights with the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years hands‑on experience managing high‑value, high‑complexity accounts.
• Full‑funnel understanding beyond email metrics.
• Proven ability to build retention strategy from scratch.
• Strong relationship builder with client‑facing experience, including coaching or mentoring marketers.
• Background in agency work or experience with 8‑figure+ brands.
