RN Charge Nurse - PRN Nights

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse works night shifts on a PRN (as‑needed) basis, providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care while coordinating the nursing team and acting as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate and respond to patient conditions, contributing to care plans and documentation.
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, educating families and maintaining effective communication.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives and support changes that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Maintain current professional licenses, stay up‑to‑date with industry practices and pursue ongoing development.
• Mentor and support peers, promote a positive work environment and adhere to confidentiality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current BLS certification.
• Active RN licensure (multi‑state or single‑state).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork and professionalism.
