Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time – Oncology

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will join an interdisciplinary oncology care team, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a clinical setting. Working under the guidance of Nurse Managers, the RN will apply evidence‑based practices and the Wellstar Professional Practice Model to support safe and compassionate treatment for diverse patient populations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process – assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation – using critical thinking and evidence‑based practices.
• Provide relationship‑based, culturally sensitive care, partnering with patients and families through education and goal‑setting.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration and timely documentation.
• Support performance‑improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance.
• Maintain professional development by completing required training and mentoring peers.
• Promote evidence‑based practice, participate in protocol development, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Utilize resources efficiently to optimize patient outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to organizational standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Less than one year of clinical experience or recent graduation from an accredited nursing program.
