Project Manager – Democratic Governance

About the role

The Democratic Governance Portfolio of UNDP Georgia is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of initiatives that strengthen inclusive and accountable governance. Reporting to the Democratic Governance Team Leader, the incumbent will oversee day‑to‑day project activities, coordinate with partners, and ensure alignment with the Country Programme Document 2026‑2030.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor project work plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate with civil society, government agencies, and international partners to advance project objectives.
• Prepare regular progress reports, financial statements, and impact assessments for donors and UNDP management.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and advocacy events to promote civic participation and social cohesion.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and ensure compliance with UNDP policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in political science, public administration, international development, or a related field.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience managing development projects, preferably in governance or civil society contexts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of democratic governance, human rights, and gender equality issues in Georgia.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Georgian is an asset.
