Medical Laboratory Technologist (Night Shift)

About the role

The Clinical Laboratory Technologist works night shifts to perform a wide range of laboratory tests, maintain equipment, and uphold quality standards in a healthcare environment. The role requires accurate testing, data interpretation, and collaboration with the clinical team to support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient testing, quality‑assurance, proficiency, and competency assessments.
• Analyze, investigate, interpret, and report laboratory data with clinical insight.
• Monitor and document test processes, resolve issues, and communicate findings to team members.
• Contribute to performance‑improvement initiatives and ensure inspection readiness.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and quality‑improvement activities.
• Supervise, teach, and enforce safety standards within the laboratory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• ASCP certification (MT, MLS) or equivalent required at hire.
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.
• Experience using Epic and 3M laboratory information systems.
