IT Infrastructure Innovation Specialist

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Innovation team at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is responsible for deploying next‑generation networking and IT infrastructure technologies across EV manufacturing, automation, logistics, and quality systems. This role supports cutting‑edge solutions such as P‑5G, Wi‑Fi 6, VMware vSphere, Docker, and Kubernetes to boost production output, product quality, and rapid ramp‑up of the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Identify requirements and design/build new IT infrastructure structures and applications.
• Implement and support next‑generation technologies including P‑5G, Wi‑Fi 6, containerization, and virtualization platforms.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux‑based systems.
• Provide operational support and maintenance for IT systems.
• Monitor, analyze, and report infrastructure service metrics.
• Integrate and optimize VMware vSphere for high‑availability virtualization.
• Develop scripts and automation to streamline infrastructure processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable IT services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on multiple complex projects.

Required skills

• Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
• Virtualization technologies: VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V.
• Container platforms: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Next‑generation networking: P‑5G, Wi‑Fi 6.
• Scripting languages: Shell, Python.
• Database experience: MariaDB, Oracle, MSSQL, Tibero.
• Monitoring/visualization tools: Grafana, Prometheus.
