IT Auditor II – Risk-Based Internal Audit

About the role

Centene is seeking an IT Auditor II to join its internal audit team and help protect the health of millions of members. You will lead risk‑based audits of technology, strategic, operational and compliance processes, ensuring controls are effective and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and document risk‑based IT audits across the organization.
• Evaluate controls for effectiveness, efficiency, scalability and risk mitigation.
• Assist in developing audit work programs and finalizing engagement deliverables.
• Draft audit reports that summarize findings, recommendations, metrics and visualizations.
• Communicate observations, recommend process improvements and obtain management responses.
• Monitor audit status, track findings and support special‑project initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned and contribute to internal‑audit best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, operational auditing or related business functions.
• Experience in IT, Medicare or health‑care environments is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE or CISA are a plus.
