About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking an Identity & Driver Credential Specialist 1 to work at its CDL Center in Hazelhurst. In this full‑time position you will assist residents with a range of licensing and identification services, ensuring each interaction is handled accurately and courteously.

Key responsibilities

• Issue learner permits to teenage applicants and conduct required examinations.
• Convert out‑of‑state driver licenses to Georgia credentials.
• Process first‑time driver license applications, including testing and documentation.
• Issue state identity cards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide front‑line customer service, answering questions and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and follow established procedural guidelines.
