CT Technologist

About the role

The CT Technologist delivers high‑quality computed tomography imaging while ensuring a supportive and safe patient experience. This position operates independently within the radiology department, following established protocols and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department protocols, optimizing image quality and maintaining patient safety (ALARA principle).
• Operate and adjust CT equipment, administer contrast, position patients, and ensure proper shielding and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat scans when necessary, and document findings in RIS/PACS systems.
• Gather clinical history, verify orders, accurately identify patients, and address patient questions with age‑appropriate communication.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support overall departmental workflow and compliance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiology.
• Current certifications: ARRT‑R (Radiography), ARRT‑CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (Basic Life Support).

Required skills

• Technical proficiency in CT imaging and dose optimization (ALARA).
• Operation of RIS and PACS imaging management systems.
• ARRT‑CT and ARRT‑R certification knowledge.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
