About the role

The Banquet Operations Supervisor leads the banquet team at Marriott International in Tbilisi, ensuring seamless service for events and guest functions. This full-time role combines staff coordination, guest interaction, and operational oversight to deliver high-quality banquet experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and motivate banquet staff, ensuring teamwork and adherence to grooming standards.
• Communicate with guests and internal departments to fulfill special event arrangements.
• Set up banquet rooms, inspect furniture, equipment, and table settings for cleanliness and compliance with group requirements.
• Document event details and log information in departmental records.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Enforce company safety, security, and uniform policies, reporting incidents as needed.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and maintain professional telephone etiquette.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and arranging items up to 50 lb independently and up to 75 lb with assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant banquet or food-and-beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
