Authorizations Representative – Remote

About the role

Pharmbills is seeking a remote Authorizations Representative to support U.S. healthcare providers. In this role you will manage insurance authorization requests, keep patient records accurate, and act as a liaison between patients, clinicians, and internal teams to ensure timely service approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Submit and track insurance authorization requests for various services.
• Follow up with insurance carriers to obtain pending approvals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date authorization and patient documentation.
• Collect and verify required paperwork from patients and clinicians.
• Monitor authorization status and resolve any documentation gaps.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Authorizations, and other internal departments.
• Support administrative duties such as inbox management and appointment coordination.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, authorizations, or customer support is a plus.
• Comfortable working with databases and administrative systems.
